Patr\u00ed do skupiny degenerat\u00edvnych ochoren\u00ed k\u013abov. Najviac postihnut\u00fdm k\u013abom je bedrov\u00fd k\u013ab. Bedrov\u00fd k\u013ab je spojenie stehennej kosti a panvy. Je to jeden z najstabilnej\u0161\u00edch a najsilnej\u0161\u00edch k\u013abov v na\u0161om tele a umo\u017e\u0148uje telu pohybova\u0165 sa. Vykon\u00e1va pohyby vo v\u0161etk\u00fdch smeroch a pou\u017e\u00edva sa na prenos v\u00e1hy hornej \u010dasti tela na doln\u00e9 kon\u010datiny (\u010do je ve\u013emi d\u00f4le\u017eit\u00e9 pre rovnov\u00e1hu pri pohybe). Bedrov\u00fd k\u013ab zn\u00e1\u0161a pri ch\u00f4dzi a pohybe len jedno za\u0165a\u017eenie, preto \u010dasto doch\u00e1dza k po\u0161kodeniu k\u013abu a mo\u017en\u00e9mu vzniku artr\u00f3zy bedrov\u00e9ho k\u013abu. Bedrov\u00e9 k\u013aby s\u00fa k\u013aby, ktor\u00e9 nes\u00fa ve\u013ek\u00fa \u010das\u0165 z\u00e1\u0165a\u017ee celkovej hmotnosti \u010dloveka \u2013 preto s\u00fa mimoriadne n\u00e1chyln\u00e9 na zranenia, ale aj na degenerat\u00edvne zmeny&#8230;     <\/p>\n\n<p>Pri artr\u00f3ze bedrov\u00e9ho k\u013abu sa chrupavkov\u00fd materi\u00e1l v k\u013aboch zhor\u0161uje v d\u00f4sledku opotrebenia. Artr\u00f3za bedrov\u00e9ho k\u013abu (coxartr\u00f3za) je ochorenie bedrov\u00e9ho k\u013abu, sp\u00f4soben\u00e9 opotrebovan\u00edm chrupavky na hlave stehennej kosti (os femoris), ktor\u00e1 sa artikuluje v panve (os coxae). Chrupavka stabilizuje k\u013ab a chr\u00e1ni ho pred po\u0161koden\u00edm. Zhor\u0161enie funkcie chrupavky m\u00f4\u017ee sp\u00f4sobi\u0165 obmedzen\u00fd pohyb a siln\u00fa boles\u0165. Existuj\u00fa dva typy artr\u00f3zy. Prim\u00e1rna artr\u00f3za je genetick\u00e1 forma tohto ochorenia. Boles\u0165 za\u010d\u00edna v momente, ke\u010f pacient za\u010dne prv\u00e9 kroky d\u0148a, alebo po odpo\u010dinkovej f\u00e1ze, a\u017e k\u00fdm sa k\u013ab nepohne. Jeho pohyblivos\u0165 je obmedzen\u00e1 a \u010dasto \u010dlovek c\u00edti boles\u0165 aj pri obuvan\u00ed top\u00e1nok. Nesk\u00f4r sa pri pohybe objavuje neust\u00e1la boles\u0165, dokonca aj v pokoji (pokro\u010dil\u00e9 \u0161t\u00e1dium ochorenia), krep\u00e1cia (zvuk &#8220;praskania&#8221; k\u013abu) a \u0165a\u017ekosti s pohybom.        <\/p>\n\n<p>Ako choroba postupuje, boles\u0165 sa roz\u0161iruje, niekedy a\u017e do kolena, a pohyby ako oh\u00fdbanie sa alebo lezenie po schodoch sa st\u00e1vaj\u00fa n\u00e1ro\u010dnej\u0161\u00edmi a bolestivej\u0161\u00edmi. V s\u00favislosti so zdrav\u00fdm k\u013abom v k\u013abe postihnutom artr\u00f3zou nach\u00e1dzame z\u00fa\u017eenie k\u013abov\u00e9ho priestoru, degenerovan\u00fa chrupavku, kostn\u00e9 v\u00fdrastky (osteofyty) a skleroterapiu kostn\u00e9ho tkaniva v bezprostrednej bl\u00edzkosti k\u013abu, niekedy s v\u00fdskytom cystick\u00fdch \u00fatvarov.
