Why do gout and kidney stones form?
Gout and kidney stones are two different but very related diseases that increasingly affect modern man. The main common factor in these problems is an elevated level of uric acid in the body.
➡️ Gout is a form of inflammatory arthritis that occurs when uric acid builds up in the blood and forms crystals in the joints, causing severe pain, swelling, and redness, most commonly in the toes, ankles, and knees.
➡️ Kidney stones form when uric acid crystallizes in the kidneys, forming hard deposits that cause pain, blood in the urine, and problems with urination.
Both diseases are strongly related to diet and lifestyle, which means that proper nutrition is the first step towards healing.
